But midway through there was a lot of repetition and human-oration to the text, and not so much as a spirit talking to the reader.

The book tries to emphasize that:
. human beings die and reach one of the 7 realms.

. human beings die and reach one of the 7 realms.
. their destination is decided solely by their karma.
. each realm has 9 levels to cross.
. each realm is headed by a High good soul.
. realms 1-3 have misery, darkness, mental torture, rocky surface and strange creatures.
. realm 4 has day and night, much like Earth, and spirit souls there have both good and bad ways about them.
. realms 5-7 get progressively better, peaceful, happy and beautiful places to be.
. it takes thousands of earth years to progress through these realms.
. those who are in lower realms are guided by High good souls to take birth to pay off their bad Karma.
. all bad deeds and intentions have to be paid off.
. false charities or piousness on Earth is of no use at all.
. humans die, shed their heavy and damaged bodies and ascend as spirit souls to higher realms depending on the good Karma they have earned.
. as spirit souls, they meet their loved ones or can track the progress of their loved ones on different realms.
. spirit souls in realm 5 upwards have no malice in them; they are guided by good thought and are mandated to help those on Earth or lower realms.
. realm 5 upwards are brightly lit up with beautiful flowers and fruits growing everywhere.
. spirit souls do not have to eat or sleep; all they need is a dip in the water to feel rejuvenated and some necter every now on then.
. spirit souls in realms 5 upwards are engaged in self-learning on the path of progression through realms. They may take birth mainly to speed up their progression to higher realms but may plunge even more if they lead mean lives.
. after progressing through levels of realm 7, spirit souls join God.
. as spirit souls progress through their good deeds, they keep getting lighter and brighter.
. spirit souls are helped with their mandate of good Karma by guiding humans through their pain so the notion of letting spirits be and not communicating with them is unhelpful.
. mediums who help connect humans with their related spirit souls are gifted humans who either use auto-writing or telepathy to communicate.
. talking to spirit souls helps both the humans and the spirits so it must always be seen as a helpful exercise leading to living well and attaining good Karma.
. only those spirit souls who want to connect with their human relatives will allow a connection.
. humans who are mean and involved in lowly deeds may appear to be thriving on Earth but they will all suffer for each bad Karma by spending thousands of earth years in dark and torturous realms.
. deeds are tracked by spirit souls through Akashikrecords.
. to pay off their bad Karma, really badly off spirit souls are guided by High good souls to take birth as beasts of burden as during their tortuous life, they are in effect paying off their Karma and later reaching higher realms.

The book is intended to be a narration from the spirit of the author's son who died young in a car crash. As a spirit soul, he sent feelers to a medium to help it connect with his parents who found life without their (2) dead sons intolerable. By regular communication, the son's spirit soul not only helped the parents through their pain but asked them to educate other humans about living life through good deeds and looking at death as a mere transition into their real home...

I'd like to know from others if the extent of their thought process allows them to believe in the theory of 7 realms. I for one find it giving me hope but I also wonder if this philosophy is arrived at mostly for that purpose--to give hope to humans in life after death.

Whether or not there is truth in the above, at least the advice to be good people and changing one's mean outlook for goodness is well-intended and worth pondering over.

So the book in the beginning is a little too repetitive in terms of the concept explanation of the 7 realms and it is simplied way too much into good and bad deeds. However, the Q & A part is better and easy to understand. The knowledge contained in the book is nothing substantially new but rather something all of us have always been taught since childhood - As you sow, so shall your reap. However, there are some interesting concepts that I learnt such as the Akashic records which records each and every action, thought, memory of an individual; Twin souls which means that the soul is split into two parts and does not mean soul mates; Walk ins when the going gets tough, there is a possibility that some other soul from the spirit world may take our body and we get to stay in the spirit world; though its very rare and that you decide your parents as well as your death date. Some of the quotes from the book that really stayed with me are:
(1) Hope is a beautiful thing and it must be kept alive but expectation is a demand that comes from your ego;
(2) It is okay to ask questions on the spiritual path but replace your doubt with faith. Trust your spirit guides (Also from the moment you're born until you die; you have been designated with one spirit guide who guides you through the complete process of life. That means someone is always watching at you!!);
(3) Sometimes something that is taken away from you is a greater gift than something that is given to you;
(4) You are on earth to coexist and not handle everything on your own;
(5) Pain can be triggered by someone else only if it already exists within you. (Life changing);
(6) When you constantly compare your journey with someone else's, it holds you back;
(7) A very basic test given to most people is whether they can stay positive in a tough situation;
(8) Negative thoughts come only from the physical mind. The subconscious mind, even in the most trying of circumstances, will see things in a positive light;
(9) To be positive means to understand the higher nature of things;
(10)Derive strength from the fact that your spirit guides are still with you and can guide you if you let them;
(11) Positivity is a choice no matter what the situation;
(12)Success or failure depends on the strength of your choices;
(13)DO NOT be of the view that you are on Earth to suffer. Yes, your debts have to be paid off, but your earthly journey should be joyous. So lighten up. Have a sense of humour and again balance is the key;
(14)Expectations create anxiety because they build unnecessary pressure;
(15) Nature is a reflection of human beings. It shows what is within you.

The book talks about the spirit world and the way one should lead life while on earth. It describes life after death and dwells on the aspects of good & evil in a basic way. I found the same thought being repeated in various chapters without moving logically from one topic to another.Was not able to continue reading it after I was half way through.

What really rang some bells was the discussion of suicide. However at the end, with different words said the same that classic religions say. My best guest is that the author had some thoughts on this topic, which maybe was against the author's beliefs.

This was exactly what I needed.
My uncle lent me this book after talking about Upanishads and spirituality, and this book has answered so many of my questions, especially the ones about Death and what comes after. Denial can be an ugly thing. It makes people lose touch with reality, display absurd behavior, and can result in consequences that may never entirely go away. In some instances, professional help will be needed. If not, a psychosis could potentially ensue. Every once in a while, one will find that a psychosis is a desired explanation for the actions or statements of another since it makes their deviations from common sense and reason more understandable. Such is the case with the author of Laws Denial can be an ugly thing. Such is the case with the author of Laws of the Spirit World, the name of whom I have already forgotten.

This book is an utter piece of garbage that I would not recommend to anyone. It's basically a pile of incoherent Christian drivel disguised as something else. Most of it takes the form of… what do they call it… "automatic writing". Essentially, this is "channeling" the spirits or souls of the deceased through writing. The one responsible for this abomination of a read claims it's a very powerful technique, and there is even a disclaimer dissuading the reader not to attempt this kind of writing on their own as it is apparently dangerous (so don't try this at home, kids!). Now, what does she do with this alleged clairvoyance? She claims to channel the spirits of what I think are her two deceased children who died in some sort of accident, and the book is (according to her) not her own words, but the words of her ascended descendants.

Does that sound ridiculous? Well, it gets worse. In the end of the book we are informed that the author must not be held responsible for whatever may happen to those who attempt automatic writing, or who take the contents of the book seriously (since it's "not her words"). How convenient. As if that wasn't enough, parts of the book are basically interviews with her non-living offspring. She will state questions and answers will be provided for the reader to indulge themselves in. Yeah, it's that bad.

Other than the cringeworthy setup of the book, there are some truly ridiculous statements that will have the reader seriously concerned about the mental health of its creator. Here are just a few examples:

"To answer a prayer, these souls send positive rays of light back to the person on Earth. This is why the word prayer consists of the word ray. Prayers are, essentially, positive rays of light".

"Medicine is important, but nothing in this earthly world can match the power of prayer".

"When humans constantly follow the wrong path and show no respect for God, their fellow beings, or nature, a great deal of negative energy builds up. As a result, nature's response is negative. There is an increase in natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, volcanoes, and so on. This is nature's way of telling human beings to stop, think and change".

I don't know the etymology of the word "prayer", and I don't deny that there is something useful to it (I sometimes engage in prayer myself), and I wouldn't say nature doesn't react when we harm it, but this is the kind of nonsense and insanity we are presented with. The book also refers to people as "you humans" and "people of Earth" on a regular basis, which is laughable. There is no shortage of ludicrous statements, and I would even go as far as to say most Christian writers of testimony can and often do a lot better than this.

The very title "Laws of the Spirit World" made it appear interesting, but this is a receipt of the common saying that you should not judge a book by its cover, or its title for that matter. I'm always inclined to loathe people who claim they have "the Truth" with a capital T. The same can be said for when someone communicates their theories in a way that requires the reader to accept them as axiomatic. The word "Law" in the title gives me such an impression. I had hoped for it to be far more esoteric than this. The way I see it, it's the author's way of dealing with the grief of loss. There could have been some potential if it had been written as a novel. Alas, it wasn't, and in the end I find myself utterly disgusted with having wasted my time on this insipid, pathetic, and deplorable attempt at transcendent writing. The positive ratings on Goodreads is a mysterium tremendum to me.

Well, that's that. Now I'm off to attempt some automatic writing.

Read this book only if you

If you've lost a loved one, this book might help you cope with your loss. It'll provide comfort in a way nothing else probably can.

I have always been spiritual. Religion was forced on me at birth, which with time, I have been able to distance myself from. Laws of the Spirit world answered most of the questions about world, misery, karma, karmic connections, karmic debts and lot of other aspects of cosmic energy. I have been lucky enough to have experienced spiritual connections in my life and this validation of my beliefs was much needed.

I personally feel that the author of this book is kinda delusional.
It's not that everything written in this book is wrong, but most of the content is fictional.
You do get to learn something, but you also realize that more than half of the content is fictional, and is added for one sole purpose, and that's monetization.
Not recommended.

I think the most evident thing about this book that everyone should know is that it is extremely repetitive. There are so many points in this book that have been repeated numerous times. The author simply rephrased the sentences and bombarded us with the same piece of knowledge countless times whenever she thought it seemed appropriate. Not gonna lie, it put me off and I felt frustrated. There were also times when the author didn't elaborate the idea well enough. I still have many questions about some topics discussed in this book so I don't think that's a good sign. All I was getting from this book was general knowledge that I already knew before. There wasn't as much of new information to learn as I hoped.

The writing style of the author also sounded condescending. There were times when the author simply assumed that we're not buying her shit and are disagreeing with her. That doesn't quite make sense because if one doesn't believe in the afterlife or souls, he/she would not read the book at all, let alone read half of it (around the part where she assumed the reader didn't believe her)
But that's not the reason why I think the writing style sounds condescending. It does because at times, some of the stuff that the author says implies that the author knows more than us, and is wiser than us. The tone wasn't gentle either, neither was it a mocking tone. But the author wasn't teaching us, she was condescendingly informing us.

That being said, it doesn't mean that I am disagreeing or disrespecting any of the ideas/points of this book. I actually believe in most of it and was interested. In fact, my interest in the subject was what kept me going. It was nice to know about afterlife and notion of good and evil.

Overall, I just think I am used to reading books written by actual experienced authors who know how to write an entertaining read, so reading a non-fiction book written by a person passionate about the subject but not having elaborate writing skills, put me off. It isn't anyone's fault. I suppose I should stick to engaging fiction. But it was still nice to read something different.

I had come across the title of this book in the 'Must Read' list created by one of the spiritual follower. The title was intriguing. Moreover one more friend of mine strongly recommended to me this book. Hence I bought this book on my Kindle app.

It may sound eerie but this book is written or rather dictated by two of the souls Ratoo and Vispi who were deceased sons of Khorshed Bhavnagri. The book as mentioned is an attempt to help souls progress but opening up their subconscious minds. The book strengthens the belief in Life after Death. It's merely a transition from one world to another. It teaches one to lead a life that is kind, honest, self-less and righteous.

Because I had read Brian Weiss, I could connect to the book but not as much as Brian Weiss. There are lot of repititions in the book which does make the read a bit slow and tiring. Nevertheless the teachings are the same throughout with lots of examples. A lot has been written but evil souls who follow wrong paths to achieve success on earth, who are hypocrites and how to deal with them. However, the question left unanswered in how does one identify the evil soul.

One thing that is clarified is future cannot be determined with the horroscopes and your decisions determine it. A lot of examples are given about how people who do charities and pronounce to the world are actually doing it for selfish reasons. It was scary to read about astral beings.

Overall a good read for those who believe in spirituality. A believable book. My rating 3.5/5.

Mostly her departed son Vispi talked to her through her auto-writing by telepathy, about the life after death, the 07 higher relamns, the three states as physical, astral and spirit body, guides and high good soul, which I quite believe in. But the book continuously made reference of souls as good, bad and evil soul and sins; and about the hierchy in this spirit relamns and also where you register for your requests to high good soul for something you wish to do, which made me wonder, that we human beings are never quite free of various hierchy levels and registrations whether earthbound or in spirit world (!!) The book is written in very simple, primary language. Apart from the soul connection to loved ones and karma the books mostly is a moral tome on behaviour as to what to do and what not to do, get rid of jealousy, hatred, suicidal thoughts and revenge etc, and revert to love, honesty with good intention and motive, go through challenges to purify soul and pay off the debt as pending karma.
I can give this book 3 stars at the most.

What happens after we die? Is there real hell & heaven? Do we choose our own family? Are there really ghosts in the world? Are horoscopes always correct?
Are you finding answers to this type of questions or questions of life after death then you should definitely read this book.

This book is about Vispi & Ratoo, who lost their lives in a car crash. But found a way theough automatic writing to talk to their mom and tell the world about the life after death.

.
The book is an eye opener in many ways. It has thrown light on many aspects of life like Karma, Subconscious Mind, Rebirth, Negative Souls, Suicide, Twin Souls and many more.

.
The book is divided into 2 parts. The first part talks about the spirit communication and all the aspects of life and the spirit world. Whereas the second part has answered the questions that we earth people have regarding the life after death and also some aspects of our lives.

.
I personally love the 1st part more as in the second part the things are getting repeated just in a question answer form.

Within a month and through a chain of people, they received a message that their sons wanted to communicate with them and they spoke to the boys through a medium, and were assured of their well-being. They had reached the Spirit World immediately and had been welcomed by their beloved grandfather, Popsie. The boys asked their parents to develop powers of concentration, so they could communicate
safely and privately together through the method of automatic writing. In this way Vispi and Ratoo were able to advise and guide their parents constantly and give them their mission on Earth - to comfort and help people in need, to spread spiritual knowledge and how to stay on the Godly Good Path always. The book - "The Laws of the Spirit World" - was communicated by Vispi and Ratoo through the technique of telepathy to their mother and simultaneously reduced into writing by her. Topics from the book and other messages are contained in the VRRP Spiritual Learning Newsletters. In 2007 Khorshed Bhavnagri joined her family in the Spirit World, but her work is being continued by the VRRP Group. The Bhavnagri' s story in detail is in the book.
